Prada IPO investors deal with tax, valuation issues
Italian fashion company Prada will price its Hong Kong IPO at the end of this week, but only after convincing a battered investor base to ignore the poor state of global equity markets — and swallow Italian tax regulations requiring investors in the IPO to pay withholding and capital gains tax. The deal looks set to price towards the bottom-half of its price range.
