Korea’s FSC puts banks’ foreign currency reliance to the test
Korea’s main financial regulator wants banks to move away from a reliance on short term funding when raising foreign currency debt. It subjected banks to a stress test last month and the sector plummeted in the equity market this week, after rumours spread that several banks have failed the test.
