KNOC lights up bond market, but bankers wait for eurozone

Korea National Oil Corp (KNOC) closed a $1bn five year bond this week, opening Asia’s bond market after six weeks without a single deal. But bankers were split on what the deal really meant: some took it as proof the markets are open again but more sceptical voices said it proved nothing more than that a good borrower can tap a narrow window of opportunity.
