Defense and dividends: surviving in EM equity markets

Equity investors are turning away from the unknown, dumping their emerging assets and holding cash or returning to their domestic markets. But some companies could still attract foreign investors, as long as they are willing to pay up, said Clive McDonnell, Standard Chartered’s chief emerging market equity strategist, on Tuesday.
