LatAm credits shrug off Argentina’s YPF grab

Argentina’s expropriation of Repsol’s stake in YPF increases local borrowers’ international isolation as the country moves towards a Venezuelan model, bankers judged this week. But while confirming long-held fears over Argentina’s direction under president Cristina Kirchner, the move is unlikely to hurt issuers from neighbouring markets and could even boost their appeal.
