Spanish bail-out shifts senior FIG blockage as Svenska, Swedbank make splash

Svenska Handelsbanken took advantage of rallying markets in the wake of Spain’s bail-out to price a €1.25bn six year bond on Monday, the first new senior unsecured issue to hit the market since the European Commission released its proposals for bailing in senior bondholders last Wednesday.
