‘Indian summer’ for bonds as banks return in force

Three Indian banks flocked to the bond market for funding this week, raising a combined $1.6bn and defying the summer slowdown in Asia’s bond market. There will be plenty more deals from the country’s lenders before the end of the year, bankers and investors told EuroWeek Asia.
