China Mobile plots finance unit to put cash holdings to work
China Mobile, the world’s biggest mobile operator, plans to set up a finance unit with Rmb5 billion (US$780 million) to conduct businesses such as inter-bank lending, loan and lease financial services, aiming to better deploy its idle cash and take advantage of the tight liquidity environment in China.
