Global head of FX investor sales leaves ANZ

Thomas Mummert, global head of FX investor sales resigned from the Australian bank earlier this month.

Thomas Mummert, managing director and global head of FX sales resigned from ANZ last week after two years working for the bank. He was based in Singapore.

Mummert joined the Australian lender in January 2011 from J.P. Morgan, where he built out the central bank sales team.

Before this he worked at Deutsche Bank as well as Dresdner in London, where he was a managing director of FX sales.

There have been several key changes to the bank’s team in Asia at the senior level over the past few months. At the end of October, Gilles Planté, former CEO for Asia at ANZ was appointed CEO for Asia Pacific as the bank merged its Asia and its Pacific businesses.

Vishnu Mohan was appointed Pacific CEO, reporting to Planté. He replaced Michael Rowland who remained at the bank in the position of general manager, transformation, customer experience and business productivity.

A spokesperson for ANZ had not responded to requests for comment by press time. Details of Mummert’s future plans are unconfirmed.
