Swiss Life uses 0% premium CB to clean up old holdings

Insurance company Swiss Life Holding on Wednesday completed the placement of a Sfr341m ($272m) bond, mandatorily convertible into new shares, with existing shareholders and institutional investors.

The issue was lead managed by Credit Suisse First Boston, which underwrote Sfr240m of it.

As with many convertible bond placements, CSFB ran a simultaneous straight sale of Sfr220m ...
