Morgan Stanley wins LSE mandate

Italy’s two biggest banks moved to sell their holdings of London Stock Exchanges shares on Tuesday after the stock closed up 2.2% on Tuesday, partially rebounding after slipping from a three year high at the end of April.

Intesa Sanpaolo and UniCredit mandated sole bookrunner Morgan Stanley for the sale of 31.1m shares, worth £317.5m at the close. Intesa is selling 14.5m shares and UniCredit 16.6m shares, their entire holdings.
