Strong show in senior could encourage Spanish issuance, say bankers

A solid secondary market performance from Tuesday’s new issues could encourage more peripheral banks to hit the strong bid for senior paper, bankers told EuroWeek Bank Finance on Wednesday.

Some market participants said more deals were in the pipeline and could come before the end of the week, adding that Spanish issuers could be encouraged to print if the rally continued.
