Dollar barnstormers leave door open for second stellar week
Bankers are bracing for another spate of dollar issuance next week after a set of blow-out deals in the currency. The Inter-American Development Bank sold a barnstorming 10 year late in the week that has set the stage for further issuance at the long end.
KfW is a likely candidate to follow in IADB’s footsteps. The German agency is thought to be considering either a three or 10 year deal. The success of IADB’s 10 year on Thursday could tip the scales and encourage a long dated trade, according to SSA syndicate bankers.
