  • The US hybrid capital market thumbed its nose at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners this week by accepting $1.8bn of paper from UBS and Lincoln National Corp, the US insurance company.
  • Demir-Halk Bank (Nederland) has signed its $200m one year facility, which was increased from $180m after raising an oversubscription during syndication — lenders' commitments were also scaled back. Mandated lead arrangers are ABN Amro (bookrunner), American Express Bank, BayernLB, Commerzbank (bookrunner), Dresdner Bank, Erste Bank, HSH Nordbank, RZB, Türkiye Halk Bankasi, Wachovia Bank, WGZ-Bank and WestLB (bookrunner, documentation and facility agent).
