  • Barclays, Citigroup/SSSB and Deutsche Bank have signed banks into the £600m five year revolver for BSkyB. Allied Irish Bank, BayernLB, Commerzbank, Crédit Lyonnais, HSBC, ING, JP Morgan, Lloyds, SG, Royal Bank of Scotland, WestLB, Bank of Ireland, Crédit Suisse First Boston, Bank of New York, Bank of Nova Scotia and BNP Paribas joined the deal.

  • Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein's head of capital markets outlined further steps this week to improve its capital markets business after heavy losses were revealed at Dresdner Bank last week. DrKW was partly responsible for the Eu935m loss at Dresdner Bank and Eu1.2bn loss at parent Allianz - which forced Allianz to admit it was looking to sell off the investment banking unit.

  • The mandated arrangers will close syndication of the $1.35bn financing for Egyptian LNG this week. Banks are working on documentation and getting final approvals. The deadline may be rolled over to next week to accommodate banks that are dealing with extra cautious credit committees.
