  • After euro volumes had dropped below dollar volumes for the second consecutive week, the currency has returned to the fore over the past seven days. Around $3bn was issued from 88 notes this week, up from $2.2bn and 80 transactions previously.
  • This week's dollar volumes were very similar to last week's levels. Around $2.9bn was issued in the currency from 211 trades, down marginally on $3bn previously. However, an increase in euro and sterling volumes saw dollar market share fall from 41% to 31%.
