Bankers eye pay-off time in Africa

The year 2012 was disappointing for those bond bankers who have an eye on Africa, as debt management offices became even more nervous about weakness in Europe, China and the US. But after Zambia printed a bond in September to a roaring reception, issuers have woken up to the possibilities.
