Post-auto downgrade hedge fund loss relief rally narrows prices

A strong rally dragged credit default swap prices sharply lower this week in Europe and the US.

By the close yesterday (Thursday), the iTraxx Europe Index was at 42.5bp/43bp, 1bp off the low point of the day but 7bp inside last Friday's closing price.
