Europe welcomes FIG bond recovery

THIS WAS by far the busiest week of issuance yet this year for the European financial institutions bond market, beating mid-January’s issuance flurry by over Eu2bn.

While it was not a return to the heady days before the credit crunch when Eu25bn could be issued in a week, financial institution borrowers still priced almost Eu9.25bn equivalent of debt in the euro and sterling markets.
