Turkey’s Bizim gets 2011 business going
Bizim, a Turkish cash-and-carry retailer, was this week the first potential issuer to test the European IPO market in 2011 when it began pre-marketing a $200m Istanbul deal.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch is joint global co-ordinator and international bookrunner, Standard Unlu Standard Banks Turkish subsidiary is another JGC and a co-bookrunner, and Garanti is domestic co-ordinator and bookrunner. At least 20% will be sold domestically.
