Markets shrug off insurance stress tests
One in ten insurers would not meet Solvency II capital requirements in the event of a crisis, according to results published this week of European stress tests for the sector. But the market reaction to the findings was muted. One FIG capital specialist described the Eu4.4bn capital hole that would exist under the tests’ adverse scenario as "minimal".
