JP Morgan tops DCM rankings
JP Morgan is 2011’s top DCM bookrunner by volume, with 6.8% share of the year’s deals, full-year figures from Dealogic show. Barclays Capital, last year’s top performer, came second with 6.6%. The two banks are also top of the volume ranking in FIG products — JP Morgan in global FIG and Barclays in covered bonds.
But both these results are down in percentage terms. Barclays was bookrunner on 7.5% of global DCM volume in 2010, while JP Morgan was bookrunner on 7.2%. Most of the other top 10 banks also lost percentage share, with only Citi, Goldman and BNP Paribas recording improvements.
