AIB and Kuxta show periphery how it’s done

Four peripheral issuers brought covered benchmarks over the last week, but with very different outcomes. While AIB Mortgage Bank and Kuxtabank got excellent receptions, Santander and Bankinter set their own terms and left investors licking their wounds.

AIB returned to the market for the second time in three months on Tuesday. It mandated joint leads Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and UBS for a €500m 3.5 year mortgage covered bond on Monday.

Books opened with initial price thoughts of 200bp over mid-swaps and after two hours ...
