EBA keeps up pressure on bank transparency

The European Banking Authority is set to publish data on the sovereign debt holdings and other cross-border investments of European banks by the end of the year, ahead of stress tests planned for 2014.

The regulator has not yet finalised which specific data sets will be published, but the disclosures will be similar to a transparency exercise carried out last year and could emerge as soon as October.
