Investors scramble for Mediaset’s €375m unrated bond

Mediaset, the Italian television company controlled by the family of ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi, enjoyed a blowout reception on Thursday for its 5.25 year bond issue.

Banca Imi, BNP Paribas, Mediobanca and UniCredit had roadshowed the unrated deal on Tuesday and Wednesday in London, Paris and Milan, and launched it on Thursday morning with initial price thoughts of 5.5% to 5.75%.

There were no public European investment grade corporate issues to compete with it ...
