EU green Taxonomy faces vote on Monday

The Taxonomy of Sustainable Economic Activities, which green bond promoters hope will formalise the market and help it grow, has got stuck in the EU legislative process and risks not reaching the statute book before the European elections in May. That would mean the process having to be started again in August.

There is still a chance of saving it, however. On Monday the two European Parliament committees that have been working on the bill, the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (Econ) and the Environment Committee, will hold votes on the Parliament's draft text, including some compromise amendments.
