Perella plots European expansion ahead of ahead of IPO

The latest independent firm to eye a public listing is doing so after another bumper year for the corporate finance boutiques. But does it mark the peak of the cycle both for deals and the migration of top talent out of the bulge brackets? David Rothnie reports.

After leaving the dysfunctional world of Deutsche Bank, former chief financial officer and CIB head Marcus Schenck has returned to his investment banking roots, joining Perella Weinberg Partners in his native Germany, a move that will re-unite him with a number of fellow former Goldman Sachs alumni.
