Convertible bonds back in fashion with Capitalia and Delhaize Eu1.4bn spree
The European equity-linked market exploded into life yesterday (Wednesday) with two issues totalling Eu1.37bn ($1.7bn). Italian bank Capitalia sold a Eu1.07bn bond exchangeable into Italian insurance company Generali and Belgium food retailer Delhaize Group tapped the market with a Eu300m convertible that gained over Eu1bn of orders.
