SNS Reaal turns to shareholders to return chunk of state aid

SNS Reaal, the Dutch banking and insurance group on Thursday raised Eu135m to repay one-fifth of the core tier one capital that it is issued to the government and its largest shareholder to shore up its balance sheet during the credit crunch.
