Buoyed by powerful domestic support, Germany’s Pfandbrief market has resisted the pressures of government backed supply and outperformed its peers. However, the future of some traditional issuers is less secure and new entrants at home and abroad could be required if volumes are to be sustained. Neil Day reports.
