Syndicate bankers beg buyers to see value in senior FIG debt

FIG Syndicate bankers called upon investors to see the value in secondary senior unsecured markets on Thursday. As indices came off recent wides, market participants generally remained bearish about the prospect of primary issuance, but said reticent issuers, rather than unwilling investors, were keeping the market shut.
