Clariant’s wait pays off with massive book

If Irish building materials group CRH’s €500m bond took the palm this week for broadening the European corporate bond market’s tastes, it had a close runner-up. Clariant, the Swiss paints and speciality chemicals group, brought crossover-rated paper back to the market with a hugely successful €500m five year deal on Tuesday.
