Greek banks move towards €30bn recap

The four big Greek banks are moving closer to a €30bn recapitalisation that is targeting €1bn-€2bn from private investors with warrant issues to acquire state-owned shares sweetening the deals. Alpha Bank and Piraeus Bank are ahead in the queue with Eurobank and National Bank of Greece running slightly behind after the Troika of international lenders this week pushed back their plans for a pre-recap merger.
