Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in London has brought on Robert Walsh as a director and head of cash collateralized debt obligations. Walsh, who starts this week, will report to Rick Weinstein, head of credit derivatives structuring. It is unclear how the hire affects the role of Darren Smith, a senior member of the cash CDO structuring team who works for Weinstein. Smith was traveling in Australia and could not be reached. Walsh left Credit Suisse First Boston, where he worked for 10 years in both New York and London, in December. Most recently, he managed the origination, structuring and marketing of CDO transactions for the bank's managed CDO business and reported to Scott Ulm, global co-head of the CDO group. Rowan Staines, DrKW spokeswoman, declined to comment.
