Stephen Roughton-Smith, formerly a managing director at Moody’s Investors Service in London, has resigned and plans to join ABN AMRO’s risk group, which analyzes underlying exposure to securitizations and collateralized debt obligations. He is expected to report to Karl Guha, head of the risk group in London. Guha did not return a call and Roughton-Smith was between jobs and could not be reached.
While at Moody’s, Roughton-Smith worked in the European structured finance practice and focused on esoteric ABS, structured investment vehicles, repackagings and surveillance. He reported to Frederic Drevon, group managing director of structured finance for Europe and Asia.
