William Archer, chief underwriting officer for global credit products in fixed income, currency and commodities at Goldman Sachs, has left the firm. His last day was Wednesday. Market players say he is headed to join Barclays Capital, though that could not be confirmed. He could not be reached for comment. A Barclays Capital spokeswoman could not immediately comment. A Goldman Sachs spokesman could not immediately be reached.
Archer joined Goldman in 2002. Before that he worked at Deutsche Bank as co-global head of non-investment grade debt underwriting.
