Asset managers on the mainland have been inundated with orders following the approval of qualified domestic institutional investor licences. A tidal wave of capital looks set to descend on stock markets overseas, alleviating upward pressure on the renminbi, but concerns abound over whether the returns will satisfy investors accustomed to a surging equity market at home.
