Workspace builds support with £87 m rights issue
Commercial property business Workspace this week launched a £87.2m rights issue in a move to strengthen its balance sheet amid falling property prices. The fully underwritten deal comes as part of what may be a wave of rescue rights issues by British businesses, including a potential £100m deal by car dealer Inchape and a possible £500m rights issue by construction products group Wolesley.
