LatAm sovereigns raise $2bn in global pair
Brazil and Colombia each sold $1bn bonds on Wednesday; capitalising on historically low US Treasury yields and renewed investor appetite for emerging market risk. Brazil issued a $1bn 5.875% 2019 bond at 370bp over USTs. Meanwhile, the Republic of Colombia sold a $1bn ten year bond at 502.9bp over USTs.
