It felt almost like a normal start to the new year with hefty mulit-tranche issues priced in US dollars, including, for example, a $6bn two-tranche deal for GECC, a $4bn three year for the EIB and transactions for the Republic of Colombia and United Mexican States. Of course, it’s not normal at all and the sluice gates can swing shut at any moment.
