IB chips in as UBS at last turns a profit
UBS on Tuesday reported a net profit of Sfr1.205bn in the fourth quarter of 2009, with not a single business division reporting a loss, thanks to a combination of a tax credit, lower costs and lower own credit charges. The bank had reported a loss of Sfr564m in the third quarter of last year.
