Nervousness rules in US bonds as CDS slump

With investors’ eyes fixed on the ever-widening credit default swap indices, bond issuance has got off to a tentative start in New York this week. US bank PNC brought a $375m perpetual non-call five bond, but Brazil’s Petrobras was forced to cancel its 6.125% 2016 reopening due to “volatile market conditions”.
