Merck gives Europe first taste of M&A bonds

German pharmaceuticals company Merck launched its highly-anticipated bond issue on Wednesday, the first M&A related deal to hit Europe this year. The bond, led by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas and Commerzbank, will have maturities of two, five and 10 years.
