Wait for stress test results puts CDS market on edge

The US bank credit market went into knee-jerk mode this week ahead of treasury secretary Timothy Geithner’s briefing — due later today — to 19 major banks on their performance in the treasury’s stress tests. On average major bank CDS names gapped between 20bp to 40bp wider from last week’s levels.
