Kazakh creditors push BTA into standstill and rebel against Alliance
BTA, Kazakhstan’s largest bank, this week imposed a standstill on principal payments of its debts after some of its lenders triggered acceleration. It said on Thursday that it will cease paying maturing debt until it agrees a "transparent and efficient programme for managing its current debt position."
