Helaba empties pipeline after hectic issuance pace

Six issuers have already raised more than Eu5bn of funding in a well supported benchmark covered bond market this week. Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen was the latest issuer to tap the market when it this morning launched its first jumbo Pfandbrief in six years, a Eu1bn seven year public sector issue that was in great demand. The German issuer’s deal cleared the pipeline of publicly announced mandates, although Italy’s Intesa Sanpaolo has been mentioned as a candidate for issuance this week.
