Japan’s Shinsei set for overhaul after posting surprise loss
Japan’s Shinsei Bank has announced a restructuring of its business as it looks to recover from last week’s surprise ¥140bn ($1.5bn) loss. The bank is scrapping plans for a merger with a local rival, replacing a number of top executives and moving to a less risky business model.
