Dubai World faring better than most in ME
With responses due this week on the $5bn facility for Dubai World, bankers are taking stock of how the Middle Eastern loan market is faring. The signs are encouraging for Dubai World so far, with bankers close to the deal saying it has received a lot of interest, although the loan is not set to close quite yet. But other deals in the region continue to suffer from local banks’ reticence to commit in dollars.
