BaFin throttles nascent covered bond reopening
Deutsche Hypothekenbank on Monday launched the first sizeable covered bond in more than three weeks, but the prospect of any subsequent issues hitting the market this week has dissipated in the wake of yesterday evening’s ban by BaFin, the German financial supervisory authority, on uncovered short-selling.
