Trio of jumbos as ECB fires starting gun

ABN Amro, Banco BPI and GE SCF have all launched jumbo covered bonds this week, and Deutsche Kreditbank a Eu500m deal, in the wake of the launch of the European Central Bank’s Eu60bn purchase programme on Monday. However, the level of demand for the deals has varied widely and at least one issuer even pulled back from tapping the market after finding sentiment unfavourable.
